Admit cards for Phase 2 of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be released on July 31 announced Jagadesh Kumar, the UGC chairman, via a Twitter video. Phase 1 admit cards are already out since 6 pm today, July 12. Candidates can now download their admit card from the official CUET UG website – cuet.Samarth.ac.in.
In regard to the late issuance of admit cards, Mr Kumar proclaimed the security and management as the driving force behind the cards being issued just a few days before the examination “ensure that there is good security in the entire process of conducting this computer-based examination. This is a common practice in all the examinations that NTA conducts, whether it is JEE Mains, NEET and now CUET. We usually issue admit cards four days before the examination starts.”
NTA has released the city intimation slip for candidates appearing for both phases. The UGC chairman further added that there is no need for the students to panic as the majority of them will have their centre in the city that has been chosen. The remaining ones, though will not get their first preferred city but will get their second preference.
