How has lockdown impacted the ongoing courses at SPJIMR?
We went online in 48 hours. All our faculty were trained over the weekend to make sure none of our scheduled classes were disrupted. On getting feedback from our participants we reduced the number of classes per day.
What medium of learning has been adopted?
We are using Zoom platform
Do you think the next admission cycle will be affected with the lockdown?
We are all geared up to take the admission interviews virtually. We don’t think the admission cycle will be impacted.
How are internships being planned ?
We were the first institute to conduct the full internship hiring virtually in the month of August. The students are doing their internships virtually in Sept & October.
What innovations have been made given the lockdown? Either in medium of instruction or any other?
We are using the virtual tools like breakout rooms and padlets and white boards to give the best experience to the students.
Have you had time for research given the lockdown
Yes. There has not been any slowdown as far as research is concerned.
Has the interest for the special courses at SPJIMR gone up? Family Business, Women entrepreneurship etc?
We have been reaching out to these segments via webinars and special sessions which is upping their interest.
What are the changes you expect or think should be entertained in this year’s CAT exam?
More holistic questions compared to only maths & English.
How will exams be conducted for the ongoing MBA batches?
We are conducting exams as per schedule. There is no disruption.
