Goa CM, Pramod Sawant says NEP will rolled out in phases

The government of Goa will adopt the National Education Policy 2020 in a phased manner. Two task force committees have been constituted, one for school education and one for higher education, and their final report is awaited, chief minister Pramod Sawant, who holds the education portfolio, stated.

However, the directoe of higher education, directorate of school education, directorate of technical education, State Council of Educational Research and Training and Goa Samagra Shiksha have started their work regarding the implementation of NEP-2020 on various parameters.

The directorate of education intends to implement NSQF subjects in all aided schools in a phased manner using the hub and spoke model through the ongoing Samgra Shiksha flagship programme.

Sawant also said the education department had issued circulars to unaided institutions asking them not to hike fees due to the David-19 pandemic
